Role Overview

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices at residential, commercial, and redevelopment project sites. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, accident prevention measures, worker safety practices, and maintaining a safe working environment across construction activities.

The incumbent will play a key role in promoting safety awareness, minimizing workplace hazards, conducting inspections, ensuring contractor compliance, and maintaining project safety documentation.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Safety Management
- Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and EHS standards across project sites.




- Ensure secure execution of construction activities including excavation, shuttering, scaffolding, concreting, lifting operations, work at height, and finishing activities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard identification exercises at site.
- Monitor unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and initiate corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety guidelines and statutory safety requirements.

Safety Compliance & Monitoring
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and construction safety standards.
- Verify contractor adherence to safety procedures, PPE usage, and work permit systems.
- Monitor safety compliance for all subcontractors, workers, and vendors at site.
- Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and compliance requirements related to EHS.
