Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic DP Chemistry Teacher to join our Diploma Programme faculty. The ideal candidate will have strong subject expertise, a deep understanding of scientific inquiry, and a passion for making Chemistry engaging and relevant to students. This role involves developing conceptual understanding through practical experiments, data analysis, and real-world scientific applications that align with the ethos of inquiry and exploration.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver interactive lessons aligned with the Diploma Programme Chemistry curriculum.
- Create an inquiry-based classroom workplace that emphasizes conceptual understanding and real-life scientific connections.
- Guide students in designing and conducting laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
- Mentor students in completing their Internal Assessments (IAs) and support Extended Essay research in Chemistry.
- Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments in accordance with assessment criteria.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, grades, and laboratory documentation.
- Integrate technology, simulations, and data analysis tools into instruction to enhance scientific learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning,



moderation, and cross-disciplinary projects.
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops and school-wide training programs.
- Contribute to science exhibitions, academic events, and other initiatives that promote a culture of curiosity and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

- Master s or Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification (B.Ed.) or IB Educator certification preferred.
- 2-4 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB or international curricula.
- Strong understanding of IB DP Chemistry standards, lab safety protocols, and experimental techniques.
- Proficient in using digital platforms and tools for instruction, simulation, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for fostering scientific inquiry, environmental awareness, and lifelong learning among students.

Work Time

7:40 AM to 3:45 PM (Monday to Saturday)
