Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- _Lead platform-level material cost estimation for new vehicle programs from concept to SOP (Start of Production)._
- _Develop and share part-wise and system-wise cost benchmarks with cross-functional teams (CFT)._
- Evaluate vehicle cost structure at system/part level across product development stages.
- _Ensure timely feasibility analysis and feedback on Statement of Requirements (SOR) aligned with business case targets._
- _Monitor and communicate Supplier Business Case (SBC) data—part and tooling—to Strategic Sourcing Unit (SSU)._
- _Facilitate cost approvals for engineering changes and design modifications._
- _Act as custodian of material cost control and governance across platforms._
- Track and report business case material cost targets, highlighting risks and proposing mitigation strategies._

Experience
- _Minimum 9 years of experience in automotive costing, preferably in platform or vehicle-level cost management._
- _Proven track record in managing costing deliverables across product development lifecycle._

Industry Preferred
- _Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers with exposure to vehicle costing, manufacturing processes, and product development._

Qualifications
- _Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) - Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering preferred._
