1. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

Maintaining a healthy cash flow is the heartbeat of this position.
- Payables: Processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments to take advantage of discounts, and reconciling aging reports.
- Receivables: Tracking outstanding dues, sending payment reminders, and reducing the Day Sales Outstanding (DSO) metric.
- Reconciliation: Weekly or monthly reconciliation of vendor and customer statements to identify discrepancies.

2. General Ledger & Month-End Closing

Ensuring that the "books" are an accurate reflection of reality.
- Journal Entries: Accurately recording accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Bank Reconciliation: Performing daily or monthly bank reconciliation statements (BRS)



to match book balances with bank statements.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintaining the fixed asset register and calculating monthly depreciation.

3. Statutory Compliance & Taxation

Keeping the company on the right side of the law to avoid penalties.
- Tax Filing: Preparing and filing GST/VAT returns, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and withholding tax documentation.
- Audit Support: Preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external auditors to ensure a "clean" audit.
