Job Description: Computer Operator

Position Overview

The Computer Operator is responsible for managing daily computer system operations, ensuring smooth functioning of hardware and software, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting office staff with technical and administrative tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, good typing skills, and the ability to troubleshoot basic IT issues.

Key Responsibilities System & Data Management
- Operate and monitor computer systems, networks, and related equipment.
- Perform daily data entry, data verification, and data backup activities.
- Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and digital records.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all data handled.

Technical Support
- Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
- Coordinate with IT teams for advanced technical problems.
- Maintain printers, scanners, and other office equipment.

Operational Tasks
- Prepare reports, documents, and presentations as needed.
- Monitor system performance and report irregularities.




- Ensure smooth workflow by supporting administrative and clerical tasks.

Compliance & Security
- Follow company IT policies, data security protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Maintain logs of system activities, backups, and maintenance tasks.
- Protect sensitive information and ensure secure data handling.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Computer Operator, Data Entry Operator, or similar role.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Rapid and accurate typing skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Education
- Minimum: 12th Pass with computer knowledge
- Preferred: Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA), BCA, or any IT-related qualification
