Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers
- Source and secure freight for available trucks
- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and customers
- Manage shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring on-time performance
- Resolve load issues, service failures, and billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records in TMS and internal systems
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and market trends
- Proficiency in load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) and TMS systems
- Meet or exceed monthly revenue and margin targets
Skills:
- Sales and customer service orientation
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
