Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Java Developer to work closely with the Java Engineering Architect in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale banking and payments solutions. The role involves building high-quality backend services, implementing architecture designs, integrating enterprise systems, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API development, event-driven architectures, valuable to have banking/payments experience, with a passion for engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade backend services and APIs based on architecture and solution designs.
- Work closely with the Java Architect to implement scalable, secure, and resilient banking and payments solutions.
- Build reusable services supporting cross-border banking and transformation initiatives.
- Develop microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and REST APIs.
- Integrate with upstream and downstream systems,



internal platforms, and third-party services.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture walkthroughs.
- Demonstrate progress during sprint reviews and support technical showcases to stakeholders.
- Follow engineering best practices for coding, testing, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support production environments when required.
- MUST Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms to improve productivity and code quality.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6-10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, and RESTful APIs..
- Good understanding of event-driven architecture, Kafka, messaging patterns, and asynchronous processing.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, messaging, and middleware technologies.
