Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Furniture Designer role based in Delhi, India. The Furniture Designer will create cutting-edge and functional furniture designs that align with Durian’s brand aesthetics and customer expectations. Day-to-day work includes developing design concepts, preparing detailed drawings and specifications, selecting materials and finishes, and collaborating with carpentry, production,
and interior design teams to ensure feasibility and quality. The role also involves working closely with showroom and marketing teams to understand market trends, customer feedback, and product performance. The Furniture Designer is expected to participate in design reviews, maintain design documentation, and support continuous improvement of the product range.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Furniture Design and Product Design, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically appealing, and market-relevant concepts.
Practical understanding of Furniture and Carpentry, including materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of Interior Design principles to ensure furniture integrates well into residential and commercial spaces.
Proficiency with design and visualization software (e.g., CAD tools, 3D modeling software) and ability to produce detailed technical drawings.
