Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the organisation's technology strategy, infrastructure and digital transformation agenda. This role is distinctive in requiring a leader who combines strong core IT leadership credentials with direct, hands-on experience in Learning & Development (L&D;) — someone who has previously built, scaled or transformed a learning function within a company, not merely purchased tools for one. The successful candidate will champion the convergence of technology and workforce capability-building, ensuring that IT strategy and organisational learning strategy reinforce rather than operate in isolation from each other.

Why This Role Is Different
Most CIO mandates stop at infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications and data. This role explicitly extends into how the organisation builds capability in its people through technology — from learning management systems (LMS)



and digital upskilling platforms to AI-enabled personalised learning and the change management required to embed current technology successfully across a workforce. Candidates without genuine L&D; experience (either as a former L&D; leader, or as a technology leader who partnered deeply and operationally with L&D;) will not be considered a strong fit for this specific mandate.

Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the organisation's overall IT and digital strategy, aligned to business goals, in partnership with the CEO and executive leadership team.
• Own enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance and technology risk management.
• Lead the selection, implementation and continuous improvement of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) and other learning technology, in close partnership with HR and L&D; leadership.
• Bring first-hand understanding of instructional design, competency frameworks, learning analytics and adult-learning principles to ensure learning technology investme
