Role: VP, Finance & Accounts

Position Overview

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with 10–15 years of experience to lead the Finance & Accounts function at Protectt.ai. As Head – Finance & Accounts,



you will be responsible for the overall financial governance of the organization, including financial reporting, accounting, taxation, treasury, statutory compliances, audits, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, investor reporting, and international finance operations.

The role will work closely with the CEO, leadership team, investors, auditors, tax advisors, legal, HR, business, and international teams and will play a critical role in supporting Protectt.ai’s next phase of growth and global expansion. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to a finance professional who can combine strong technical accounting and compliance expertise with commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and execution orientation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & MIS

- Own and lead the overall Finance & Accounts function of the organization.
- Establish robust financial processes, policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of all financial activities.
- Drive a disciplined monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process.
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Identify opportunities for improving financial efficiency, controls, processes, and systems.
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team with clear ownership and accountability.

2. Compliance & Regulatory

- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliances (GST, TDS, income tax filings, returns and reconciliations).
- Liaison with tax consultants, auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act requirements (ROC filings, board documentation support).

3. Audit Management

- Lead statutory audit, internal audit and tax audit processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide required schedules and explanations.
- Closure of audit observations and implementation of internal control improvements.
- Support due diligence requirements for investors, lenders and strategic partners.

4. Procurement & Payables Oversight

- Oversee procurement process and ensure adherence to company procurement policy.
- Review vendor onboarding documentation and contract compliance.




- Monitor purchase orders, invoice verification and approval workflows.
- Ensure proper accounting and timely payment to vendors.

5. Payroll & Employee Finance Processes

- Oversee payroll processing, final settlements and reimbursements.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT and labour related statutory requirements.
- Review payroll accounting entries and reconciliation with HR records.
- Support implementation and monitoring of employee benefit programs (NPS, ESOP accounting support).

6. International Subsidiary & Group Reporting

- Supervise accounting and compliances of overseas/group entities.
- Coordinate with foreign accountants and consultants.
- Review consolidation data and intercompany reconciliations.
- Monitor transfer pricing documentation and cross-border transactions.
- Assist in preparation of consolidated financial statements.

7. Financial Planning & Budgeting

- Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Track departmental budgets and spending.
- Support cash flow planning, working capital management and treasury monitoring.
- Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.

8. Strategic & Business Support

- Support fundraising, investor reporting and data room preparation.
- Assist in financial modelling, business planning and scenario analysis.
- Support M&A; evaluation, due diligence and integration activities.
- Work closely with business teams to evaluate pricing, profitability and cost optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls
- Understanding of SaaS revenue recognition and subscription business models
- Experience with audits, taxation and regulatory compliance
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Tally, Zoho Books, NetSuite, SAP or similar)
- Ability to work in a quick-paced startup environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High ownership and attention to detail

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Technology, SaaS, Cybersecurity, FinTech, or Product companies.
- Exposure to investor reporting and fundraising
- Handling international subsidiaries or cross-border transactions
- Experience in a VC/PE-backed or high-growth startup environment.
- Experience working with institutional investors and participating in fundraising processes.
- Exposure to ESOP accounting and valuation concepts
