Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Operate VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines to manufacture precision mechanical components.

- Perform machine setup, tool loading, fixture setup, and offset adjustments for production runs.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining instructions.

- Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional tolerance.

- Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

- Maintain production records and machine parameter documentation.

- Identify and report machine malfunctions, tool wear, or quality issues to the supervisor.

- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of the work area.

- Follow company safety guidelines and quality standards during operations.





- Coordinate with the quality control and production teams to meet daily production targets.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Hands-on experience in VMC machine operation.

- Ability to read technical drawings and understand machining tolerances.

- Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and tool offset adjustments.

- Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code / M-code) is an advantage.

- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

- Robust attention to accuracy, quality, and detail.

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with shift operations.

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Machinist / CNC Operator or equivalent technical qualification.
