Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Video Editor & Cinematographer to join our creative team and primarily handle the editing of fashion and social media video content.

The core of this role will be taking raw footage and transforming it into engaging, visually strong content for Instagram and other digital platforms. You should have a strong understanding of pacing, music, transitions, storytelling, trends, and fashion aesthetics.

While editing will be the primary responsibility, you will also assist with shooting and cinematography during content and fashion shoots.

What You'll Be Working On

Video Editing — Primary Responsibility

- Edit Instagram Reels, fashion videos, campaign content, BTS videos, product videos, and other short-form content
- Turn raw shoot footage into polished, engaging social media content
- Create different edits from the same shoot footage for maximum content output
- Work with music, trending sounds, transitions, text, effects, and pacing
- Create edits that capture attention within the first few seconds
- Understand Instagram trends, formats, hooks, and editing styles
- Add basic colour correction, colour grading, sound design, and finishing
- Edit content according to SUBO's clean, modern, and fashion-forward visual identity
- Work closely with the social media team on content ideas and calendars
- Make revisions based on creative feedback and requirements
- Organise and manage raw footage and project files

Cinematography — Secondary Responsibility

- Assist with shooting Reels, product videos, BTS, campaigns, and social media content
- Handle camera, framing, composition, movement,



and basic lighting
- Understand how to capture clothing, fabrics, silhouettes, and movement effectively
- Assist during model and fashion shoots
- Help execute creative concepts developed by the social media and creative team

What We're Looking For
- Strong video editing skills with a positive eye for fashion, aesthetics, pacing, and storytelling
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar
- Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form video
- Ability to work with raw footage and independently create a finished edit
- Good understanding of music selection, transitions, text, effects, and visual storytelling
- Awareness of current Instagram trends, sounds, formats, and editing styles
- Basic understanding of cinematography, camera handling, lighting, and composition
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take creative direction and also bring your own ideas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fashion environment
- A portfolio/showreel demonstrating your editing work is required

Who Would Be a Great FitSomeone who can look at a few hours of raw footage and know which moments to pick, how to structure the edit, what music works, where to cut, and how to make the final video feel visually strong.

You should have a good understanding of what makes fashion content look clean, premium, contemporary, and engaging — not just technically well edited.
