The Stores In-Charge will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the stores at Sevalaya’s Kasuva Centre, ensuring proper receipt, storage, issue, and maintenance of materials and stock.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations and overall functioning of the stores.
- Receive, verify, and record incoming materials from vendors and other sources.
- Maintain proper stock registers, inventory records, and documentation.
- Issue materials to various departments based on approved requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of essential items.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and secure handling of materials.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor expiry dates, damaged items, and slow-moving/obsolete stock.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Accounts, Kitchen, Maintenance, and other departments for material requirements.
- Ensure materials are issued only against proper authorization and maintain supporting records.
- Keep the stores clean, organized, and secure.
- Prepare periodic stock reports and submit them to the reporting manager.




- Support audits and provide required stock-related records and information.
- Ensure compliance with Sevalaya’s stores, purchase, and inventory procedures.
- Carry out any other stores-related duties assigned by the management.

Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of inventory and store management.
- Basic computer knowledge, particularly MS Excel and inventory systems.
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Any degree / Diploma preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in stores, inventory, warehouse, or material management.
- Experience in an NGO, institution, residential campus, or similar setup will be an added advantage.
- Candidates willing to work at and travel to the Kasuva Centre, Thiruvallur, may be preferred.
