Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Staff Nurse role based at Motherhood Hospital in Coimbatore.
The Staff
Nurse will provide direct patient care to women and children, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and supporting labour and delivery. The role involves coordinating with doctors and allied health professionals, updating medical records accurately, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and infection control standards.

Nurse will educate patients and families about treatment plans, post-procedure care, and preventive health,
while promoting a respectful, protected, and comforting environment. The role also includes participation in quality initiatives, shift handovers, and continuous improvement of nursing practices.
Qualifications
- Valid Nursing qualification (GNM or B.Sc Nursing) from a recognized institution and current registration with the relevant Nursing Council.
- Clinical skills in adult and paediatric patient care, including monitoring, medication administration, basic emergency response, and documentation.
- Exposure to obstetric, labour and delivery, and postnatal care; experience in women’s and child health settings is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to follow clinical guidelines, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols with attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Commitment to compassionate, non-discriminatory care and maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
- Basic computer skills for using hospital information systems; prior experience in accredited or tertiary care hospitals is preferred.
