About the role
We're looking for a Senior Technician who can lead from the front — doing skilled solar and EV work while keeping the team on track. You'll handle installations, repairs, and plant maintenance yourself, and also coordinate the other technicians and help keep records and complaints on schedule. For the right person, this role grows into our Service Centre Manager position.
What you'll do
- Carry out solar and EV installations, servicing, and repairs to a high standard.
- Support maintenance of the 6MW+ solar plant at Tata Amalgamated Tea Estate.
- Attend and resolve residential and commercial service complaints.
- Keep the technician team coordinated — help assign jobs and ensure work gets finished on time.
- Maintain basic service records and updates for handover to management.
- Be the on-ground point person between technicians and the office.
What we're looking for
- Electrical knowledge — ITI, Diploma, or solid hands-on experience.
- Comfortable speaking with customers in Assamese, Hindi, and English.
- Experience in solar, electrical, or EV service work.
- Someone dependable who can lead by example and work with people.
- Organised, honest, and takes ownership of the job.
- Willing to grow into a management role over time.
Good to have
- Prior lead or supervisory experience.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, email) for records and reporting.
- Two-wheeler and licence for site visits.
