Role Description The Senior Manager International Freight Forwarding Air/Sea Import Export is a full time hybrid role based in Gurugram, with some flexibility for work from home. The role involves managing end-to-end air and ocean freight operations for import and export, including coordination with carriers, consolidators, customs brokers, and overseas partners. Daily responsibilities include overseeing customer service delivery, monitoring shipment status, resolving operational issues, and ensuring compliance with international trade and customs regulations.

The Senior

Manager will lead and mentor the operations team, optimize routing and cost structures, prepare and review documentation, and drive service quality and efficiency. The role also includes maintaining key client relationships,



supporting business development, and providing regular performance and exception reports to leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage client expectations, handle escalations, and maintain long-term relationships.
- Expertise in ocean freight operations, including carrier coordination, documentation, scheduling, and cost optimization.
- Extensive experience in international freight forwarding processes and systems, with a focus on operational excellence and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Solid understanding of export processes, trade compliance, documentation standards, and international shipping terms (Incoterms).
- Proven experience in a senior operations or management role within freight forwarding or logistics, preferably handling both air and sea freight.
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to drive performance and process improvements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including coordination with global partners.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in using logistics and freight management software and MS Office tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field; professional certifications in logistics or freight forwarding are an advantage.
