Senior Data Scientist Position Summary As a Data Scientist supporting the Global Finance Data Science team you will develop and maintain data science solutions and supporting data pipelines for JJs Global Finance organization Working with a global team of Data Scientists Data Engineers Finance Analysts and ML Engineers you will help advance the Global Finance data science and AI roadmap deliver actionable Insights to finance and business leaders reduce manual effort through automation and enhance user experience You will operate and enhance Global Finance data science projects in production on a monthly basis with a focus on Predictive Financial Intelligence and forecasting You will develop a strong understanding of the JJ finance data and JJ businessproducts You will also help transition proofs of concept into reliable production solutions incorporate stakeholder feedback and develop performance tracking dashboards Key Responsibilities Strong attention to detail when working with data including validating inputs reconciling outputs investigating data quality issues and ensuring results are accurate before sharing Good analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to understand business questions explore finance and nonfinance data identify trends or drivers and summarize insights clearly Handson experience using Python and SQL to clean transform analyze and automate data workflows using large datasets Ability to maintain and enhance monthly production analytics or data science processes including running pipelines reviewing outputs troubleshooting issues and incorporating stakeholder feedback Ability to build clear reliable reporting outputs dashboards or summaries that translate analytical results into actionable business insights Comfortable working with crossfunctional teams including Data Scientists Data Engineers Finance Analysts ML Engineers and business stakeholders Willingness to learn JJ finance data business processes JJ products and therapeutic areas SAP source systems business terminology and reporting hierarchies MustHave Skills Experience Strong attention to detail with data including validating inputs reconciling outputs investigating data quality issues and ensuring results are accurate before sharing Strong data analytics skills and ability to understand complex workflows and data pipelines Strong Python programming skills with the ability to write clean modular and maintainable code Robust SQL skills and experience working with structured data from enterprise systems or data warehouses Experience cleaning transforming joining and validating large datasets Experience with data analytics predictive modeling forecasting or machine learning concepts Ability to troubleshoot data issues explain changes in outputs and communicate findings in a clear and businessfriendly way Experience building dashboards reports or analytical summaries using Power BI Web Apps Tableau Excel or similar tools Ability to work independently manage priorities document work clearly and collaborate across a global team Good to Have Experience with Databricks PySpark cloud platforms or production data engineering environments Knowledge of software engineering practices such as version control testing reusable code design and documentation Experience with SAP SAP HANA SAP BW SAP S4HANA Microsoft Fabric or other finance source systems Experience with app development APIs workflow orchestration model deployment or tools such as Streamlit React Nodejs Airflow or Kubernetes Basic Qualifications Required Minimum Education and Experience At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in data science data analytics data engineering or a related field Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Computer Science Data Science Business Analytics Finance Industrial Engineering Statistics Mathematics or another quantitative or STEM discipline Preferred Experience delivering analytics data science or data engineering solutions in a finance business or commercial environment
