Amity University Kolkata invites applications from accomplished academicians and research leaders for the position of Professor – Computer Science & Engineering.

We are looking for an academic professional with an exceptional academic background, distinguished research credentials, strong scholarly impact, and demonstrated academic leadership. The position is intended for a senior academic who can contribute significantly to the University's teaching, research, doctoral programmes, industry engagement, and institutional growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality teaching and academic leadership at UG, PG and Ph.D. levels.
- Lead high-impact research initiatives in Computer Science and emerging technology domains.
- Develop and publish high-quality research in reputed Scopus/WoS-indexed journals and leading international conferences.
- Supervise and mentor Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate researchers.
- Build national and international research collaborations with reputed universities, institutions and industry.
- Lead efforts to secure competitive research grants, sponsored projects and consultancy opportunities.
- Mentor faculty members and strengthen the University's research ecosystem.
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, accreditation and institutional initiatives.
- Establish or strengthen research laboratories, centres of excellence and interdisciplinary research programmes.
- Represent the University at leading academic conferences, forums, professional bodies and research networks.

Academic & Professional Profile The ideal candidate should possess:

- Ph.D.



in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology or a closely related discipline from a reputed institution.
- 15+ years of relevant academic/research experience, with substantial experience in senior academic positions.
- Premium academic background, preferably with qualifications and academic/research experience from reputed national or international institutions.
- A strong and demonstrable research profile, including a high H-index, citation impact and scholarly visibility.
- Excellent publication record in reputed Scopus/WoS-indexed journals and high-quality international conferences.
- Proven record of Ph.D. supervision and research mentorship.
- Evidence of funded research projects, research grants, patents, consultancy or industry-sponsored research will be highly preferred.
- Demonstrated academic leadership through research groups, laboratories, centres, programmes or institutional initiatives.
- Strong national/international academic collaborations and professional networks will be an advantage.
- Experience in academic administration, accreditation, curriculum development and institutional development will be preferred.
