Role Description The Principal Process Engineer Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for leading process engineering activities across multiple oil and gas and allied sector projects. The role involves overseeing conceptual and detailed process design, reviewing and approving process deliverables, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. This position manages and mentors process engineering teams, coordinates with other disciplines, and supports project managers in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Daily responsibilities include conducting process simulations, performing calculations,



evaluating process safety and operability, and resolving technical issues during design, commissioning, and start-up.

Manager also engages with clients and stakeholders, participates in technical reviews and HAZOPs, and drives continuous improvement in process engineering methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering, with the ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Proficiency in Process Design, including sizing, optimization, and development of process flow diagrams and related documentation.
- Expertise in Process Control, including understanding of control philosophies, instrumentation requirements, and integration with plant operations.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for process simulations, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in process engineering within oil and gas, refinery, or petrochemical projects, including leadership or management responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Indian and international standards and codes relevant to process design and safety.
- Proficiency with industry-standard process simulation and engineering software tools.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team mentoring skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
