Role Description The OBGY Registrar (MBBS & DGO/DNB/MS) role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The registrar will assist consultants in managing inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynecology cases, including antenatal care, labor room management, and postoperative follow-up. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical examinations, monitoring patient progress, documenting medical histories, preparing treatment plans, and ensuring accurate medical records.

The role involves participation in deliveries, emergency care for high-risk pregnancies and gynecological emergencies, and coordination with nursing, neonatal, and fertility teams to provide integrated care. The registrar will also support clinical protocols, contribute to quality and safety initiatives, attend clinical meetings, and participate in ongoing training and case discussions.

Qualifications

- MBBS degree from a recognized institution with completed internship; additional qualification such as DGO, DNB (Obstetrics & Gynecology),



or MS (Obstetrics & Gynecology) is required.
- Solid clinical skills in obstetrics and gynecology, including antenatal care, labor and delivery management, postpartum care, and handling gynecological conditions.
- Experience or training in managing high-risk pregnancies, obstetric emergencies, and coordination with neonatal and fertility care teams is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in patient examination, clinical documentation, medical record maintenance, and adherence to hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to counsel patients and families, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, manage multiple cases, follow shift schedules, and respond promptly to emergency situations.
- Commitment to continuous learning, participation in clinical audits, case presentations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council and compliance
