Job Summary

Applix is looking for a passionate Mobile QA Engineer with 3–7 years of experience in manual and automation testing of mobile applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in testing Android and iOS applications, developing automation frameworks using Appium, Selenium, or Playwright with Java, and ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Candidates with strong manual mobile testing experience and excellent communication skills will also be considered, even if they have limited automation experience.

This role requires an individual who enjoys identifying quality risks, improving test automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring reliable, high-quality mobile application releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Appium, Selenium, or Playwright with Java.
- Execute manual testing for mobile applications where automation coverage is unavailable or limited.




- Validate REST APIs and perform API automation testing using the Karate Framework (good to have).
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated test execution and test environments.
- Generate detailed test execution reports, analyze quality trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely defect resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the engineering team.
- Continuously improve automation coverage, testing efficiency, and overall product quality.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Hands-on experience in mobile application testing for Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience in automation testing using Appium, Selenium, or Playwright with Java is preferred.
- Candidates with 2–3 years of strong mobile manual testing experience and excellent communication skills will also be considered.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
