Role Description This is a full-time, in office MD Medicine role based at Vidyapati Hospital in Motihari, East Champaran, Bihar. The MD Medicine specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of adult medical conditions across the internal medicine spectrum. Daily responsibilities include conducting ward rounds, assessing emergency and OPD cases, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing evidence-based treatment plans, and coordinating care with other specialties such as surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, and critical care.





The role involves close collaboration with nursing staff and allied health professionals, participation in clinical decision-making, and adherence to hospital protocols and quality standards. The MD Medicine specialist is also expected to maintain accurate medical records, provide patient and family counseling, contribute to infection control and patient safety practices, and support continuous improvement of clinical services.

Qualifications

- Recognized MD (Medicine) degree and valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council; compliance with all statutory and licensing requirements.
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a broad range of adult medical conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses, emergency cases, and co-morbidities.
- Ability to interpret laboratory investigations, imaging reports, and other diagnostic tests, and to formulate evidence-based treatment and follow-up plans.
- Effective collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, gynecologists, pediatricians, orthopedists, dentists, and nursing staff.
- Clear, compassionate communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues, with a focus on education, counseling, and informed consent.
