Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Materials Science Expert to work on a contract basis. The engagement is managed through the Micro1 platform and is fully remote, allowing work from any location. The contract offers an hourly rate of $80 to $130 based on experience and specific project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed analysis of material properties to support client project specifications.
- Develop and validate experimental protocols for testing new material formulations.
- Interpret laboratory data and generate technical reports that align with client expectations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate material science insights into product development cycles.
- Provide recommendations for material selection, processing methods, and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Demonstrated expertise in materials characterization techniques, including microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing.




- Strong background in developing and executing experimental designs for polymers, metals, or composites.
- Ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, actionable recommendations for engineering teams.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and software commonly used in materials research.
- Experience delivering technical documentation and reports to stakeholders in a remote work environment.
