Role Description The LiDAR Engineer will work on-site in Hyderabad in a full-time capacity, contributing to geospatial and digital modeling projects for various industry sectors. This role involves processing and analyzing LiDAR point cloud data, generating accurate terrain models, feature extraction, and preparing 3D datasets for mapping and engineering applications. The LiDAR Engineer will collaborate with GIS specialists, software developers, and engineering teams to validate data, perform quality checks, and integrate LiDAR outputs into enterprise geospatial systems.





Daily responsibilities include using specialized LiDAR and GIS software, documenting workflows, optimizing data processing pipelines, and supporting project planning and delivery timelines. The individual will also assist in adopting best practices, contributing to automation and AI/ML-driven enhancements, and ensuring compliance with client and internal quality standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in LiDAR data processing, point cloud classification, and 3D digital modeling using relevant tools and platforms.
- Candidates should possess abilities in data analysis, quality assurance, and validation of terrain models, feature extraction results, and georeferenced datasets.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of engineering or infrastructure domains (e.g., roads, bridges, utilities, or construction) to interpret and apply LiDAR outputs effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

- Altitud is seeking applications from freshers who are willing to work in a challenging environment on latest geospatial technologies including LiDAR.

Responsibilities The candidate would be involved in production, QC, QA from time to time and need to achieve the daily production targets. However, the selected candidates would be trained for a week before being deployed into the production environment.
