About this Role
We are seeking a qualified finance qualified to take ownership of statutory financial reporting, controls, compliance, and finance operations for allocated international legal entities. This role offers the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of business activities, products, accounting requirements, and reporting obligations across multiple markets. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance Operations, Enterprise Finance, Tax, Treasury, auditors, and Group Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements, and the delivery of high-quality financial information.
Based in Pune, this role is ideal for an individual who enjoys driving process improvements, managing stakeholder relationships, and contributing to a robust financial control environment.
What you will do
- Take end-to-end ownership of statutory financial reporting and controls compliance for assigned international legal entities.
- Partner with financial and operational teams to deliver value-added financial analysis, including revenue, cost of sales, and balance sheet performance insights.
- Review legal entity results on a monthly basis, ensuring key income statement and balance sheet drivers are fully understood and documented through management accounts.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting working papers to a high standard of accuracy and timeliness.
- Execute change initiatives to support alignment with the Vodafone Finance Operating Model.
- Configure and maintain ONESOURCE templates and data mappings in accordance with local legal requirements and underlying financial processes.
- Present statutory reporting templates to local experts for validation and approval.
- Act as the primary finance contact for allocated entities and coordinate the resolution of complex cross-functional issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and finance teams, to support audits and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify, and improve statutory reporting processes and controls.
- Support audit delivery and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Who you are
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- More than 4 years of post-qualification experience in a similar finance, controllership, or statutory reporting role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP accounting principles.
- Proven experience in statutory reporting and preparation of local GAAP financial statements.
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards effectively.
- Experience working with financial controls, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience supporting change management or finance transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to shared services or global business service environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ONESOURCE is beneficial.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a complex international environment.
