Job Title: Lead Specialist, Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our network by helping to drive initiatives that improve connectivity, security, resiliency, and operational efficiency across the organization. You'll have the opportunity to work with modern enterprise networking technologies, participate in large-scale infrastructure projects, and help guide the transition toward cloud-delivered security and Zero Trust networking.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of Cisco and Meraki networking technologies, cloud security platforms, routing and switching, and end-user connectivity troubleshooting. This role requires hands-on experience with network design, deployment, and operational support, as well as the ability to travel to company locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and security infrastructure.
- Manage and support Cisco Meraki environments, including:
- Meraki Wireless Access Points
- Meraki MS Switching
- Meraki MX Security Appliances
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco networking equipment, including:
- Cisco Routers
- Cisco Catalyst Switches
- Cisco ASA Firewalls
- Administer and support Zscaler cloud security solutions, including:
- Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA)
- Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
- Zero Trust Branch (ZTB)
- Zscaler Branch Architecture (ZBA)
- Implement and support Zero Trust networking architectures and secure access solutions for branch offices and remote users.
- Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot routing protocols, including:
- BGP
- EIGRP
- OSPF
- Perform network capacity planning, architecture reviews, and infrastructure design.
- Lead network installations, upgrades, migrations, and refresh projects.
- Troubleshoot network, wireless, routing, switching, VPN, and security-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity and performance issues affecting:
- Windows clients
- macOS clients
- Coordinate network equipment procurement, asset lifecycle management, and vendor engagement.
- Work with service providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver network solutions.
- Create and maintain network diagrams, standards, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
- Participate in network incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations that improve network performance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Support automation initiatives and continuously improve operational processes.
- Provide after-hours support and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Cisco Meraki solutions, including wireless, switching, and MX security appliances.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and ASA firewalls.
- Experience administering Zscaler security platforms, including ZIA, ZPA, ZTB, and ZBA.
- Strong understanding of:

- Proven experience implementing and troubleshooting:
- BGP
- EIGRP
- OSPF
- Experience troubleshooting network-related issues on both Windows and macOS endpoints.
- Experience with network architecture, deployment, and operational support.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification.
- Cisco Meraki CMNA, ECMS, or related certifications.
- Zscaler certifications or experience with Zero Trust architectures.
- Experience with network automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, APIs,
or similar tools.
- Experience supporting cloud networking environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with network monitoring, performance management, and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience supporting global or multi-site enterprise environments.
- Experience participating in network modernization and transformation initiatives.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Travel may be required for:
- Network installations
- Site surveys
- Infrastructure upgrades
- Project deployments
- Troubleshooting and operational support
- Estimated travel requirement: 10-25%.
