Company Description Museum of Solutions (MuSo) is an award-winning museum and active learning space in Mumbai that offers immersive exhibits, workshops, learning programs, and community initiatives to spark curiosity and creativity. Spanning 100,000 sq. ft., MuSo is one of India’s largest experiential learning spaces, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors, including children, families, schools, educators, and corporates. Rooted in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics), MuSo designs interdisciplinary and participatory experiences that address sustainability, systems thinking, and design through real-world challenges.

Role Description The Lead Maker – Textile Studio is a full-time, on-site role based at MuSo in Worli, Mumbai. This role is responsible for leading textile-focused making sessions, workshops, and hands-on activities for children, families, and school groups, using fabric, fibers, and related materials to explore creativity and design.

The Lead

Maker will design and develop studio programs, set up and maintain tools and materials, ensure secure and inclusive participation, and adapt activities for different age groups and learning needs.



The role includes mentoring and guiding team members or volunteers, coordinating with other MuSo teams to align textile studio experiences with museum themes, and supporting special events and collaborations.

The Lead

Maker will also manage studio operations, monitor inventory, uphold safety and hygiene protocols, and provide feedback on visitor engagement and program improvement.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in textiles, fabric arts, and hands-on making (e.g., sewing, basic pattern-making, weaving, embroidery, or upcycling).
- Experience designing and facilitating creative workshops or learning experiences for children, families, and diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage a studio space, including tools, materials, safety procedures, and daily operational routines.
- Comfort working within STEAM or experiential learning environments, with interest in sustainability and design-thinking.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in museums, community spaces, art studios, or educational settings is an advantage.
- Relevant education or training in textiles, fine arts, design, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Worli, including weekends or holidays as required by museum programming.
