Position Overview

Lead sourcing, onboarding, vendor coordination, and compliance of contract and direct factory manpower. Keep skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled labour available across all shifts at controlled cost.

Key Responsibilities

1. Labour Procurement & Contractor Management

● Source, negotiate, and onboard labour contractors to meet production demand.

● Allocate daily manpower across peeling, drying, composer, Hotpress, sanding, and loading-unloading.

● Set contractor KPIs on supply, attrition, and attendance.

2. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law

● Ensure compliance with the four Labour Codes: Code on Wages, 2019; Industrial Relations Code, 2020; Code on Social Security, 2020; and Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.

● Confirm timely PF and ESI deposits, monthly challans.

● Maintain statutory registers and notices; support labour inspections.

● Manage factory licence renewals,



contractor registrations, and legal records.

3. Cost Management & Budgeting

● Prepare compliant labour rate cards with management.

● Track manpower budgets and labour cost per unit; reduce overtime and idle time.

● Audit vendors for attendance, billing errors, and minimum wages.

4. Operational Support & Industrial Relations

● Liaise between plant leadership, production heads, and vendors.

● Resolve in office worker grievances and discipline issues.

● Coordinate with EHS on PPE, safety training, and medical check-ups.

Required Qualifications & Experience

● Education: Bachelor’s in HR, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Law, or related field. MBA/PG Diploma in HR/IR or Labour Laws preferred.

● Experience: 5–8 years in factory labour procurement and vendor management (plywood, timber, engineering, process, or packaging preferred).

● Working knowledge of the four Labour Codes, PF, ESI, and labour inspections.

● Track record managing multi-vendor networks and 200+ workers.

● Languages: English, Hindi, and the plant’s regional language.
