Role Description The Junior Pharmacist will work full time on-site at the Apoorva Diagnostic & Healthcare facility in Bengaluru. The role involves dispensing medications as per prescriptions, verifying dosages, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and hospital policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient and medication records, managing inventory and stock levels, checking expiry dates, and organizing the pharmacy shelves.

The Junior

Pharmacist will provide medication counseling to patients, explain dosage instructions and possible side effects, and support clinicians with information on drug interactions and protocols.



The role also includes assisting in quality assurance activities, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the pharmacy, and participating in internal audits and training as required.

Qualifications

- Relevant pharmacy qualification (e.g., Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy) and valid registration with the appropriate pharmacy council.
- Knowledge of prescription processing, dosage calculations, and basic pharmacology, with attention to accuracy and patient safety.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, including inventory management, storage requirements, and record-keeping.
- Ability to use pharmacy or hospital information systems and basic computer applications for data entry and reporting.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams in a respectful, clear, and professional manner.
- Demonstrated reliability, ethical conduct, and willingness to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.
- Capacity to work in rotating shifts, handle a fast-paced environment, and learn from senior pharmacists and clinicians.
- Prior experience or internship in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is an advantage.
