This is not an entry-level role.

We are looking for someone with practical exposure to accounting, audit and taxation who now wants to move into a corporate workplace, take greater ownership and build a much broader understanding of finance and business.

S&J; Group is a Trivandrum-based business group operating across aviation, international freight forwarding, logistics and international trade.

Our businesses work with airlines, exporters, importers, overseas customers, international partners, banks, vendors and service providers. Our transactions therefore go well beyond routine domestic accounting.

You'll get exposure to the financial side of international trade, cross-border transactions, logistics, aviation, foreign-currency transactions, overseas partners, taxation and regulatory compliance. We operate multiple businesses, with significant intercompany transactions, customer and vendor movements, banking transactions, statutory requirements and management reporting. This isn't an environment where you can enter numbers today and figure them out at the end of the month.

Attention to detail matters. Reconciliation matters. And reporting matters enormously.

WHAT WILL YOU ACTUALLY LEARN?

This is where the role gets interesting.

We don't run our finance function on traditional standalone accounting software.

We operate on the Zoho ecosystem, and technology is deeply integrated into the way our businesses work.





You'll receive hands-on exposure to a range of business technology and automation tools, working alongside an experienced team that actively uses technology to improve finance, reporting and operations.

You won't simply be taught which entry to pass.

We want you to understand why the transaction happened, how it affects the business, and whether it has been accounted for correctly.

YOUR ROLE

You'll work closely with our internal finance team, management and our Chartered Accountants across our companies, gradually taking ownership of the accounts and compliance requirements of our businesses.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Day-to-day accounting using Zoho ERP
- Bank, customer, vendor and ledger reconciliations
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- GST workings, reconciliations and compliance
- TDS compliance and related documentation
- Working closely with our CA team on statutory requirements
- Supporting audits, assessments and reconciliations
- Monthly closing and management reporting
- Monitoring customer outstanding and vendor balances
- Invoice and expense verification
- Foreign-currency and international transactions
- Exposure to the nuances of GST, TDS and international taxation
- Coordinating directly with our overseas business partners
- Understanding the accounting implications of international freight, aviation and trading transactions
- Using technology,



reporting tools and automation to improve finance processes

We're particularly interested in someone who has spent approximately 1–3 years working in a CA firm, audit firm or similar professional environment.
