Role Description The Jr Medical Physicist will support radiation oncology services by assisting in treatment planning, dose calculations, and quality assurance of radiotherapy equipment. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with radiation oncologists and technologists to verify treatment plans, conducting routine checks and calibrations of machines, and participating in implementing radiation safety protocols. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, contributing to clinical audits, and supporting ongoing research and development activities related to medical physics and radiation therapy.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at KIMS Hospitals in Thane,



requiring close coordination with clinical teams and adherence to regulatory and institutional standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Monaco based Treatment Planning and Elekta Based HDR brachytherapy planning and Medical Physics to support safe and effective radiotherapy delivery.
- Candidates should possess solid understanding of Radiation principles and Physics to ensure accurate dosimetry and equipment performance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Research and Development (R&D;) within medical physics or radiation oncology, contributing to clinical improvements and innovation.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Medical Physics, Radiation Physics, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of radiotherapy planning systems, dosimetry tools, and quality assurance procedures; familiarity with national and international radiation safety guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn from senior physicists and clinicians; prior internship or clinical exposure in radiation oncology is an advantage.
