Role Description This is a full-time, remote Journalist role. The Journalist will research and report on startup news, trends, and founder stories, producing clear, engaging articles and features for StartupTalky’s audience.

Responsibilities include conducting interviews, verifying facts, analyzing industry developments, and writing timely news pieces and in-depth articles. The role also involves preparing press-release-style announcements, collaborating with editors to refine content,



and adapting stories for various digital formats when needed. The Journalist will work closely with the editorial team to maintain consistent quality, meet deadlines, and align coverage with StartupTalky’s mission and audience interests.

Qualifications

- Strong Writing and News Writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, accurate, and engaging stories tailored to startup and business audiences.
- Experience with Press Releases, including drafting, structuring, and adapting announcements for media and digital platforms.
- Demonstrated Research skills, including sourcing information, fact-checking, and analyzing industry data and trends.
- Exposure to Broadcasting or multimedia journalism (audio, video, or live sessions) is beneficial for cross-platform storytelling.
- Excellent command of English, including grammar, style, and attention to detail; strong editorial judgment and ethics.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with startups, entrepreneurship, or business journalism is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
