Key Roles/Responsibilities:

IS Machine Maintenance and Reliability

- Ensure smooth and continuous running of IS machines under all operating conditions
- Monitor machine health and ensure reliability through structured maintenance practices
- Coordinate with Production and Glass departments for uninterrupted machine operations
- Ensure quick response to machine issues to minimize downtime

Preventive Maintenance Planning and Execution

- Develop, implement, and update preventive maintenance schedules based on breakdown trends
- Ensure timely execution of PM activities to improve machine reliability
- Monitor effectiveness of preventive maintenance and take corrective actions where required
- Reduce recurring breakdowns through structured maintenance planning

Breakdown Analysis and Troubleshooting

- Analyze breakdowns and identify root causes for recurring failures
- Implement preventive and corrective measures to eliminate chronic issues
- Lead troubleshooting activities for critical machine failures
- Ensure faster restoration of machines to minimize production loss

Machine Overhauling and Technical Upkeep

- Plan and execute A, B, and C class overhauling of IS machines
- Ensure quality execution of overhauling activities as per technical standards
- Monitor machine performance post-overhauling and ensure stability
- Improve machine life and operational efficiency through structured overhauls

Process Improvement and Current Development Implementation





- Implement new technological developments and process improvements in IS machines
- Support capacity enhancement initiatives as per market requirements
- Introduce design modifications to eliminate chronic operational problems
- Support import substitution initiatives without compromising quality standards

Job Change and Production Stabilization Support

- Coordinate job change planning to ensure faster product stabilization
- Support smooth transition during product changes on IS machines
- Reduce downtime during job changeovers through effective planning
- Coordinate with Production, Glass, and Quality teams for stable operations

Cost Optimization

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction in maintenance and spare parts
- Evaluate and implement new materials and technologies for efficiency improvement
- Ensure optimal utilization of maintenance resources and consumables

Manpower Management and Shift Planning

- Manage shift-wise manpower allocation and work distribution
- Ensure discipline, productivity, and accountability within the team
- Coordinate shift activities for smooth machine operations
- Monitor workforce performance and ensure adherence to work standards

Training and Competency Development

- Train team members on IS machine operations,



maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Develop technical skills of subordinates in line with latest technologies
- Promote problem-solving capabilities and technical knowledge enhancement
- Ensure continuous learning culture within the department

People Development

- Mentor and guide supervisors, technicians, and operators for performance improvement
- Encourage ownership, accountability, and technical excellence within the team
- Support succession planning and development of future technical leaders
- Build a motivated and performance-driven workforce

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

- Drive Kaizen, AET, Parivartan, and skill development initiatives in the department
- Promote innovation in maintenance practices to improve machine performance
- Implement initiatives for reducing breakdowns, improving quality, and reducing costs
- Encourage employee participation in improvement activities and problem-solving

Vendor and Spare Parts Management

- Support vendor development for quality improvement and cost reduction
- Ensure availability of critical spares and consumables for IS machines
- Evaluate vendor performance and technical capability
- Coordinate procurement and timely availability of maintenance materials

Documentation, SAP, and Compliance

- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and breakdown records
- Maintain SAP system updates related to maintenance operations
- Support ISO and system compliance requirements within the department
- Ensure proper written communication within and outside the department
