Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Health Insurance Agent role based in Bathinda.

The Health Insurance

Agent will engage with potential and existing customers to understand their healthcare needs, explain Niva Bupa’s health insurance products, and recommend suitable plans. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and lead generation, scheduling and conducting client meetings, providing policy illustrations, and assisting customers with proposal forms and documentation. The agent will support policy issuance, renewals, and basic claims-related guidance while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.



The role involves close coordination with branch teams, participating in local marketing and awareness activities, and meeting defined sales and service targets.

Qualifications

- Customer engagement and relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust, listen actively, and explain complex information clearly.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, such as prospecting, pitch presentation, objection handling, and closing health insurance policies responsibly.
- Basic financial and insurance literacy, with understanding of health insurance concepts (coverage, exclusions, premiums, deductible, cashless networks).
- Solid communication skills in spoken and written English and local languages, with professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and administrative skills to manage leads, maintain accurate records, handle documentation, and follow standard procedures.
- Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems, including using mobile apps, online portals, and productivity software for daily work.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment, demonstrate resilience, and maintain ethical conduct and regulatory compliance at all times.
- Minimum educational qualification: higher secondary (12th standard) or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or related fields is preferred.
- Prior experience in health insurance, financial services, or direct sales is an advantage but motivated newcomers with strong learning orientation are welcome.
