About the Role

Suntera is seeking an experienced and commercially minded leader to oversee and develop our India-based centralised services operation. The role will be responsible for managing the delivery of support services across Funds, AML, Accounting, Bookkeeping and related operational functions, ensuring high-quality service delivery, robust governance, and scalable growth.

You will play a key role in supporting Suntera's global operating model by developing India as a centre of excellence for repeatable and scalable services, while ensuring client ownership, regulatory accountability, and final decision-making remain within licensed jurisdictions.

- Lead and manage the delivery of India-based services across: Fund Administration, AML/KYC Operations, Accounting & Bookkeeping, Tax Support Services and other centralised operational activities
- Ensure agreed service levels, quality standards and turnaround times are consistently achieved
- Oversee the transition of work into India from other jurisdictions and third-party providers
- Support the delivery of strategic insourcing initiatives and operational efficiency programmes




- Drive process standardisation and continuous improvement across all service lines
- Build scalable operational frameworks capable of supporting future business growth
- Provide overall leadership for the Mumbai office and centralised services team
- Recruit, develop and retain high-performing teams across operational service lines
- Establish clear reporting structures and accountability across functions
- Partner with global business leaders to understand future resource requirements and capacity demands
- Lead succession planning, capability development and training initiatives
- Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned to Suntera's values
- Maintain oversight of outsourcing governance frameworks, intercompany agreements and documentation
- Establish and monitor appropriate control frameworks, escalation processes and RACI structures
- Ensure operational activities are completed in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and client service standards
- Produce regular management information, KPI reporting and operational updates for ExCo and local boards
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
- Support the continued development of India as a strategic delivery hub for Suntera




- Collaborate with global stakeholders on future transition opportunities across business lines
- Drive automation, process optimisation and technology adoption initiatives where appropriate
- Work closely with Finance, HR and business leaders to plan future growth and workforce expansion
- Contribute to the achievement of operational savings and efficiency targets while maintaining service quality and control standards

About You

- Significant leadership experience within financial services, professional services, fund administration, corporate services or shared services environments
- Experience managing large operational teams across multiple service lines
- Demonstrable experience leading operational transformation, process improvement or service transition initiatives
- Strong understanding of operational risk management, governance and control frameworks
- Experience managing recruitment, workforce planning and organisational growth
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance service delivery, risk and operational efficiency
- Strong operational leader with a hands-on approach
