Role Description The Head of Engineering Department is a full time, on-site role based in Abroad, responsible for leading and overseeing all engineering activities related to infrastructure and office projects for the organization. This role involves managing engineering teams, planning and supervising construction and civil engineering works, and coordinating project engineering tasks from concept to completion. The Head of Engineering Department will collaborate with senior leadership to align engineering projects with business objectives, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and maintain quality and cost-effectiveness.

Daily responsibilities include resource planning, reviewing technical designs, monitoring project timelines and budgets, resolving engineering issues,



and mentoring team members to achieve high performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management skills, including team leadership, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Engineering skills to oversee project lifecycle, scheduling, budgeting, and technical coordination.
- Candidates should possess Civil Engineering and Construction skills to manage design review, site supervision, structural integrity, and compliance with codes and standards.
- Candidates should have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Candidates should demonstrate effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including collaboration with internal departments and external vendors.
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline is required; a master’s degree or relevant certifications in project or construction management are an advantage.
- Proven experience in leading engineering departments or large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within consultancy or corporate environments, is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools for engineering design, project planning, and documentation is desirable.
