About Tenon Group
Tenon Group is a leading business services organisation providing solutions across Facilities Management, Security and Technology. With operations across India and international markets, we work with organisations to create safer, smarter and more efficient workplaces.
Our Corporate Communications and Marketing function works across brand building, campaigns, digital communication, events, advertising and visual storytelling.
We are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our team in Gurugram and be part of our creative and communications function.
About the Role
If you’re a designer who keeps thinking, “I know I can do better work if someone gives me the opportunity,” this role could be for you.
We’re not looking for someone who already knows everything.
We’re looking for someone who understands the fundamentals, has a good eye for design, is curious enough to keep learning, and can turn feedback into better work.
As a Graphic Design Intern, you’ll work on real projects across multiple brands and communication channels. You’ll get exposure to the complete creative process, from understanding a brief and developing concepts to designing, receiving feedback, refining and delivering the final output.
What You’ll Work On
- Social media creatives and digital campaigns
- Marketing and advertising campaigns
- Corporate communication materials
- Presentations and visual storytelling
- Event branding and promotional materials
- Internal communication
- Brand collateral and marketing assets
- Digital and offline creative requirements
- Creative concepts and campaign visuals
You’ll work closely with the communications and marketing team and have opportunities to contribute ideas, experiment with different visual approaches and gradually take ownership of projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Understanding of fundamental design principles
- Good sense of typography, composition, colour and visual hierarchy
- Robust attention to detail
- Ability to create clean, thoughtful and purposeful designs
- Willingness to experiment, learn and improve
- Ability to take feedback positively and apply it to your work
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments
- A portfolio or examples of your design work
You don’t need to be an expert.
What matters more to us is your curiosity, attitude towards learning and willingness to improve.
Students, recent graduates and self-taught designers are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Get
- Real-World Design Experience: Work on actual campaigns, communication and branding projects rather than only hypothetical internship assignments.
- Learning & Mentorship: Get hands-on guidance, constructive feedback and exposure to how professional creative teams work.
- Growth & Ownership: As you become more comfortable, you’ll have opportunities to take ownership of projects and contribute your own creative ideas.
- Portfolio-Building Work: Build meaningful experience across digital campaigns, corporate communication, events, branding and marketing.
- Creative Exposure: Work across different formats, audiences, brands and business requirements — helping you become a more versatile designer.
- Collaborative Environment: Work alongside professionals from creative, marketing and corporate communications functions and understand how design contributes to larger business objectives.
- Paid Internship: This is a paid, 6-month internship.
- Opportunity to Grow: High-performing interns may be considered for future opportunities with the organisation, subject to performance and business requirements.
Role Details
Job Title: Graphic Design Intern
Employment Type: Internship
Workplace Type: On-site
Location: Gurugram, Haryana
Duration: 6 months
Compensation: Paid Internship
Joining: Immediate
Selection Process
We want to understand how you think, not just how polished your portfolio looks.
The selection process may include:
1. Application and portfolio review
2. Shortlisted candidate interaction
3. A short practical/design assignment
4. Final discussion
5. Selection and onboarding
The practical assignment, if required, will be relevant to the role and used to understand your creative thinking, execution and approach to feedback. Why This Role?
This isn’t an internship where you’re expected to simply make posts and follow instructions.
You’ll get the opportunity to learn, experiment, receive feedback, work on real projects, make mistakes, improve and gradually take ownership.
Some days will be structured.
Some days will move quickly.
Some briefs will change at the last minute.
That’s part of learning how to become a designer who can actually work in the real world, not just someone who can create a beautiful portfolio piece.
If you’re serious about becoming a better designer and want the opportunity to learn by doing real work, we’d love to hear from you.
