Role Description This is a full-time Geographic Information System (GIS) Expert role based in Navi Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The GIS Expert will manage, process, and analyze geospatial data to support geotechnical, geophysical, hydrological, and topographical survey projects. Daily responsibilities include creating and maintaining GIS databases, preparing maps and spatial visualizations, performing spatial analysis, and ensuring data accuracy and quality.





The role involves collaborating with engineers and survey teams to integrate GIS outputs into engineering designs for hydro projects, PSP, highways, and tunnels. The GIS Expert will also support field data collection workflows, optimize data management practices, and contribute to project documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and experience working with geospatial data for engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on skills in Quantum GIS (QGIS) or similar GIS software Global mapper, Civil 3D for mapping, spatial analysis, and visualization.
- Solid analytical skills and data management capabilities, including organizing, validating, and interpreting spatial datasets.
- Familiarity with survey and geospatial data sources (e.g., DGPS, drone, LiDAR, total station) and integration into GIS workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, Geography, Geology, or a related discipline.
- Experience in applying GIS in geotechnical, hydrological, or transportation projects is an advantage.
- Ability to work in hybrid settings, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and meet project timelines.
- Robust communication skills and attention to detail, with commitment to quality and safety standards.
