Role Description This is a full-time, in office Furniture Carpenter role based in Mumbai.

The Furniture

Carpenter will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing custom furniture and fixtures according to design specifications and technical drawings. Daily tasks include measuring and cutting materials, operating carpentry tools and machinery, finishing surfaces, and ensuring the quality and durability of completed pieces. The role involves collaborating with designers, project managers, and other trades to meet project timelines and maintain safety and cleanliness at worksites.

Carpenter will also be expected to inspect completed work, make necessary adjustments, and support on-site fit-out and installation activities.

Qualifications

- Strong practical skills in furniture carpentry, including measuring, cutting, joining, and finishing wood and related materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and design specifications for custom furniture and fit-outs.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of different types of materials, hardware, finishes, and construction techniques used in commercial interiors.
- Attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to produce precise, durable, and aesthetically aligned work.
- Good physical stamina, ability to lift and move materials, and adherence to safety practices on-site.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with designers, supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Previous experience in furniture carpentry or interior fit-outs; vocational training or certification in carpentry is an advantage.
- Ability to manage time, follow project schedules, and adapt to changing site and client requirements.
