Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a French Teacher at Francophone Academy.

The French Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging live online French lessons to students across different proficiency levels. The role will initially involve teaching A1-level learners, with opportunities to take on A2 and potentially B1-level groups as experience and student requirements develop.

Key responsibilities include

- Planning and delivering interactive online French lessons.
- Following the academy's curriculum while adapting lessons to students' learning needs.
- Creating and using engaging instructional materials, exercises, activities, and assessments.
- Supporting students in developing their speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive, encouraging feedback.
- Maintaining accurate student records and tracking learning progress.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and motivating virtual classroom environment.
- Communicating professionally with students and, when appropriate, parents or guardians.
- Working collaboratively with other teachers and team members.




- Participating in teacher training, curriculum discussions, and professional development activities.
- Sharing teaching ideas, resources, and best practices with the team.
- Contributing to the development of supplementary learning resources as the academy expands.

Qualifications

- Strong command of the French language, with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Ability to teach French effectively to beginner and intermediate learners.
- Passion for teaching and genuine enthusiasm for helping students learn and grow.
- Previous experience in French teaching, tutoring, language instruction, or education is preferred.
- Candidates who are working toward becoming a certified French language instructor are encouraged to apply.
- DALF, TEF, or TCF certification/qualification is required or strongly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to teach A1, with the potential to teach A2 and B1 learners.
- Strong command of English for communication with the academy team and learners when required.
- Comfortable using online teaching platforms, video conferencing tools, and digital educational resources.
- Must have a reliable laptop/computer and stable internet/Wi-Fi connection suitable for live online teaching.
- Strong communication, organization, punctuality, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being a supportive and collaborative team player.
- Professional, reliable, patient, and motivated approach to teaching.
- Commitment to creating an encouraging and inclusive learning workplace.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
