About the company

Roligt Foods Pvt Ltd is the company behind Cocoworks, a nutrihydration brand built on cold crafted, tender coconut-based beverages. The business runs its own manufacturing facility, a farmer sourcing network, direct-to-consumer channels, and a growing network of Nurture Stations and dark stores in Hyderabad. The finance function is being built in-house as the company scales, and this role is its foundation.

The role

You will own the entire finance function end to end: books, cash, compliance, costing, MIS and investor reporting. This is a hands-on controllership seat in a multi-channel, perishable-goods business not a supervisory or advisory role. You close the books yourself, on time, every month, and you are the custodian of financial truth for the company.

Key responsibilities

- Own day-to-day finance operations including accounting entries, reconciliations, payables, receivables and month-end closure.
- Own and maintain the chart of accounts, financial controls, approval workflows and documentation standards.
- Manage GST, TDS, statutory filings and coordination with external auditors / tax advisors, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Own cash-flow visibility: weekly cash position, upcoming commitments, receivables, payables and working-capital risks.
- Build monthly management reporting covering revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, cash burn and key variances.
- Partner with Procurement, Production and Operations to track inventory value, wastage, purchase commitments and cost movements.
- Build channel-level and product-level visibility across D2C,



retail and Nurture Station / vending operations.
- Support pricing and commercial decisions through contribution margin, unit economics, break-even and scenario analysis.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and rolling cash plans as the company scales.
- Work closely with the founders to surface financial risks early and turn numbers into decisions.
- Own finance process discipline in Zoho Books and work with the wider team to keep transaction data complete and accurate.

What we are looking for

- 4-7 years of finance / accounting experience, ideally with exposure to a startup, FMCG, D2C, food, retail or manufacturing business.
- Strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS and Indian business compliance; CA / CMA qualification is a plus, but hands-on capability matters most.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and comfort building management reports and financial models.
- Experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting / ERP systems is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work with inventory, procurement, COGS, working capital and unit economics - not only ledger accounting.
- High ownership, attention to detail and the confidence to follow up across functions when financial information is incomplete.
- Explicit communication with founders and non-finance stakeholders.
