The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a passion for journalism, and the ability to cover news stories from the field accurately and promptly. Key ResponsibilitiesVisit locations and cover breaking news, local events, social issues, and important developments .

Conduct interviews with relevant people, officials, eyewitnesses, and members of the public. Collect accurate information, photographs, videos, and statements from the field. Prepare clear and engaging news reports for digital and/or broadcast platforms.

Coordinate with the newsroom and editorial team regarding assignments and updates. Verify facts and information before submitting stories. Report breaking news quickly while maintaining accuracy, objectivity, and journalistic ethics .

Develop and maintain good sources and contacts within the local community. Be available for field assignments, events, and urgent news coverage when required. RequirementsGraduate degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred.





Freshers with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in journalism may also apply. Good Bengali and English communication skills ; Hindi would be an added advantage. Confident personality with robust interviewing and communication abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good knowledge of local news, current affairs, and social issues. Ability to use a smartphone for video recording, photography, and basic content collection .

Willingness to travel within the city and nearby areas for news assignments.
