Role Description As a Fashion Design Intern at The Riti, you will support the design team in developing women’s apparel collections that align with the brand’s focus on empowerment and body positivity. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with concept development, sketching design ideas, preparing mood boards, and helping refine silhouettes and details for upcoming collections. You will contribute to fabric and trim selection, participate in fittings, and support basic garment construction tasks as needed.

The internship also involves coordinating with graphic design resources on prints or branding elements, organizing samples,



and preparing presentations for internal reviews. This is an internship role based in Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Fashion Design and Fashion Styling, including sketching, concept development, and an eye for contemporary trends in women’s apparel.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Textiles and Sewing, with an understanding of fabric properties, garment construction basics, and fit considerations for diverse body types.
- Candidates should possess basic Graphic Design skills, particularly for creating simple prints, layouts, and mood boards using design software.
- Candidates should possess strong creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to translate brand values of empowerment and body positivity into design concepts.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, openness to feedback, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Mumbai.
- Enrollment in or completion of a fashion design or related program is preferred; familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is an added advantage.
