Role Description This is a remote, contract Ethical Hacker role focused on identifying, validating, and documenting security vulnerabilities across applications, networks, and infrastructure.
The Ethical
Hacker will conduct penetration testing, perform vulnerability assessments, and analyze threat vectors, including malware and advanced persistent threats. Day-to-day tasks include designing test scenarios, simulating real-world attacks, reviewing security controls, and collaborating with internal teams to recommend and validate fixes. The role also involves preparing explicit, actionable reports,
contributing to continuous improvement of the cyber-stack, and sharing insights that enhance Com Olho’s AI-driven threat detection and zero-trust governance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Cybersecurity with the ability to apply security principles to modern cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
- Hands-on experience in Network Security and Vulnerability Assessment, including penetration testing and secure configuration review.
- Proficiency in Application Security practices such as code review, OWASP-based testing, and secure development lifecycle support.
- Capability in Malware Analysis, reverse engineering basics, and threat intelligence interpretation to understand and counter emerging threats.
- Familiarity with commonly used security tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark, Nessus, or similar).
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, GPEN, or equivalent practical experience in ethical hacking and offensive security.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote contract setting, manage priorities, and meet agreed timelines.
- Experience with zero-trust security concepts, secure coding practices, or AI-driven security platforms is an advantage.
