Role Description -

Chhaya Prakashani is hiring Editorial Assistants / Editors – Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics for its Competitive Preparation publishing team.

Number of Vacancies: 2

This is a full-time, in office position based in Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata.

The selected candidates will primarily work on the development and editorial preparation of Science books and study materials for competitive examinations.

The role will involve reviewing, proofreading, and editing manuscripts; checking content for accuracy; supporting content development; and coordinating with authors and internal teams throughout the publication process.

Qualifications -

- Must hold both a B.Sc and an M.Sc degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics.
- Strong command of written Bengali and English is required.
- Strong understanding of science-based academic content and the ability to review and verify it accurately.




- Familiarity with competitive examination-level content and study materials will be an advantage.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in content.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with authors and internal teams.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with word-processing and editing tools.

Additional Advantages -

- Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, academic content development, editing, or publishing.

Salary Range - ₹2.5–₹3.5 LPA
