Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer with a strong background in Java applications, Microservices, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate should have started their career in Java development and evolved into application support, production operations, and platform reliability roles.

This position will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications running in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 production support for Java and Microservices-based applications.
- Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Support application deployments and release activities.
- Work closely with development teams to resolve application defects and performance issues.
- Manage incident, problem, and change management activities.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Monitor logs, alerts, and system metrics to proactively identify issues.
- Participate in on-call support and production escalation activities.

Required Skills

Production Support





- Strong experience in Application Production Support (L2/L3).
- Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing tools.
- SLA and KPI management.

Java & Microservices
- Solid understanding of Java applications.
- Experience supporting Spring Boot and Microservices environments.
- Understanding of REST APIs and application integrations.
- Ability to analyze application logs and troubleshoot code-related issues.

DevOps & Deployment
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
- Experience supporting Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Understanding of deployment and release management activities.

Monitoring & Observability
- Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
- Log analysis and performance monitoring.
- Application health checks and alert management.

Preferred Skills
- Azure Cloud exposure.
- Azure API Management (APIM).
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts.
- Linux administration and scripting.

Ideal Candidate
- Started career as a Java Developer and transitioned into Production Support.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience supporting customer-facing enterprise applications.
- Comfortable working in high-availability production environments.
- Able to bridge Development, Operations, and Support teams.
