: Design & Estimation Engineer/ Asst Manager – IBMS

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Design & Estimation Engineer (IBMS) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS), including BMS, Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), CCTV, Access Control (ACS), Public Address (PA), and Network Infrastructure. You will be responsible for understanding client tenders, preparing accurate techno-commercial estimations, and creating optimized system architectures and designs.

Job Title: Design & Estimation Engineer – IBMS

Location: Mumbai / Thane (On-site/Office-based)

Experience Required: 5 to 8 years of core experience in IBMS design and estimation.

Offered CTC: ₹6,00,000 – ₹8,00,000 per annum (Based on experience and technical proficiency).

Industry: Building Automation / HVAC / ELV & Security Systems / Electrical Engineering.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Estimation & Techno-Commercial Proposals

Tender Analysis: Thoroughly review tender documents, drawings, technical specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for various ELV/IBMS projects.

Cost Estimation: Prepare precise cost estimations, component selection, costing sheets, and final techno-commercial proposals.

Vendor Management: Interface with OEMs and distributors to obtain competitive quotes, negotiate pricing, and evaluate technical compliance.

Value Engineering:



Identify opportunities for optimizing system design to offer cost-effective solutions without compromising client guidelines or technical integrity.

- System Design & Engineering

Architecture Creation: Develop comprehensive system architectures, block diagrams, schematic layouts, and Input/Output (I/O) summaries for BMS and ELV lines.

Technical Documentation: Draft detailed technical write-ups, compliance reports, data sheets, and operation descriptions for submission.

Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel to generate precise engineering layouts, riser diagrams, and detailed quantities tracking.

- Sales & Project Handover Support

Pre-Sales Assistance: Attend pre-bid meetings and collaborate with the sales/business development team to provide technical presentations and address client queries.

Project Handover: Ensure seamless transition of approved designs and estimated budgets to the project execution/site team post contract acquisition.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Telecommunication Engineering.

Technical Domain Expertise

Strong familiarity with major IBMS/BMS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, IP).

Hands-on design/estimation experience with international brands (e.g., Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Bosch).

Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced formulas, pricing models), and MS Word.

Core Soft Skills: Excellent analytical capabilities, sharp commercial acumen, and robust verbal/written English communication skills to interact with consultants and clients.
