AI Data Annotation & Image Labelling Intern – Computer Vision

Transcend is looking for detail-oriented and enthusiastic interns to work with our Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision teams on real-world AI projects.

The intern will be responsible for preparing high-quality image and video datasets used for training, testing and improving AI models. The work will primarily involve image labelling, object annotation, segmentation, classification and quality verification using qualified AI annotation platforms.

No programming or prior AI experience is mandatory. Selected candidates will be trained on the required annotation tools, workflows and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform image and video annotation for Computer Vision and AI datasets.
- Identify and accurately label objects, infrastructure and other project-specific elements in images.
- Perform image segmentation and pixel-level annotation where required.
- Use annotation platforms such as Label Studio, Roboflow, CVAT or similar tools.
- Follow project-specific annotation guidelines and maintain consistency across large datasets.
- Review annotated images for accuracy,



completeness and labelling quality.
- Identify incorrect, duplicate, unclear or unusable images and flag them appropriately.
- Assist the AI team in dataset preparation, organisation, validation and quality control.
- Correct annotations based on feedback from AI/ML engineers and quality reviewers.
- Maintain accurate records of completed and pending annotation batches.
- Support preparation of high-quality datasets for AI model training, validation and testing.
- Basic knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets for maintaining annotation records.

*Compensation & Engagement Structure

Initial Training Period – 4 Months

Training Stipend: ₹10,000 per month

Post-Training Contractual Employment – 6 Months

Fixed Monthly Compensation: ₹15,000

Performance Incentive: Up to ₹2,000 per month

Total Monthly Earning Potential: Up to ₹17,000
