About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Data Analyst / Data Engineer Intern to join our dynamic Product & Technology team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on building and maintaining robust data pipelines, developing internal dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. As an intern, you will be instrumental in managing data flow across multiple systems, optimizing data workflows, and creating operational tools that support our business objectives.

In this hands-on position, you will gain exposure to a variety of technologies including cloud databases, APIs, and the Frappe Framework / ERPNext platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. The role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a passion for leveraging data to solve real-world problems in the agriculture sector.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, with a focus on data management and analysis. Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential, along with a good understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles. Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines, scheduled data jobs, and API integrations will be highly valued.

Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot data issues effectively. Prior experience with dashboards, internal reporting tools, and cloud databases such as AWS RDS or Redshift is desirable. A proactive attitude,



quick learning ability, and the capacity to work independently are key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst / Data Engineer Intern, your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of technical tasks and collaborative projects:

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines across multiple sources including AWS RDS, Amazon Redshift, application databases, APIs, Google Sheets, and other internal systems. Troubleshoot and optimize these pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Create and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reconciliation, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
- Develop Python scripts to automate ETL/ELT workflows, validate data, and streamline data processing tasks.
- Monitor scheduled data workflows and cron jobs, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement data validation and reconciliation checks between source systems and downstream dashboards to ensure accuracy.
- Work with APIs and JSON payloads to facilitate seamless data transfer between applications, ensuring secure and effective integrations.
- Document data sources, schemas, transformations, and system dependencies to support team knowledge sharing and future scalability.
- Build and maintain operational dashboards and internal tools using Frappe Framework / ERPNext, translating business requirements into functional components.
- Connect Frappe applications with databases, APIs, and data pipelines to provide real-time insights for various teams.
- Optimize dashboard performance, enhance usability, and ensure data freshness, supporting the needs of product, technology, field, and business teams.
- Support frontend customization using JavaScript, HTML, CSS,



and Frappe scripting when necessary to improve user experience.
- Utilize tools like Postman for API testing, debugging, and ensuring robust integrations.
- Participate in product and data QA processes before releases, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.
- Assist in workflow automation initiatives across internal systems to improve operational efficiency.
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar LLMs for coding assistance, documentation, and workflow automation tasks.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, data dictionaries, SOPs, and implementation notes for internal reference and knowledge transfer.
- Quickly adapt to new systems and technologies, working across multiple platforms to meet project goals.
