ABOUT THE ROLE:

- Microcare is building out its Security Operations Center as part of its growing cybersecurity practice, and this internship is the starting point of that team.
- You'll work directly with the Cybersecurity Practice Lead to help set up and run the SOC from the ground up - monitoring systems, learning how real security tools work, and getting hands-on exposure to how a security team actually operates day to day.
- This isn't a “shadow and observe” internship. You'll be doing real work on real systems from week one, with guidance and mentorship along the way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

➢ Help monitor security alerts and logs coming in from client systems, and learn how to tell a real threat from a false alarm





➢ Assist in setting up and configuring security tools - SIEM, EDR, and XDR platforms

➢ Support the team during security investigations, learning how incidents are traced and handled

➢ Help document processes, playbooks, and standard procedures as the SOC gets built out

➢ Run basic vulnerability scans and assist with reporting

➢ Learn and contribute to compliance-related work (ISO 27001, audit support)

➢ Participate in daily/weekly team reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

➢ Solid interest and foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and security engineering - networks,

operating systems, and how attacks typically happen

➢ Comfortable learning new tools quickly and troubleshooting independently

➢ Genuine curiosity someone who reads about security, or has worked on personal projects/CTFs

➢ Good communication skills - able to explain a technical issue clearly, in writing and verbally

➢ Willingness to work in a live, 24×7-style operations environment (shift flexibility as the team grows)

➢ Any technical Graduation

INTERNSHIP STRUCTURE

Phase Duration Stipend

- Phase 1 - Months 1–3 Unpaid
- Phase 2 - Months 4–6 ₹10,000/month
- Post-Internship Based on performance & business need
- Full-time offer, if applicable

Conversion to a full-time position is not automatic - it depends on your performance during the internship and Microcare's hiring requirements at the time, and will be discussed transparently as the internship progresses.
